Our recent Nonprofit Leadership Advisory Forum (www.goodworksresults.com/advisoryforum) was a special experience, warmly hosted by @GiGi’s Playhouse Inc.- Down Syndrome Achievement Centers flagship in Hoffman Estates, IL. We were inspired by their bright, inviting space and their incredible dedication to offering all services for free, powered by effective use of volunteers and staff. We witnessed the impact firsthand, from free services and support groups to empowering entrepreneurial training in their café and printing station. A delightful touch was the goodie bags for each forum partner, featuring personalized mugs crafted by an adult participant from GiGi University!

Excited to share further insights from this vital capacity-building program for nonprofit mid-level leaders serving @Township Of Schaumburg (schaumburgtownship.org) residents. Key takeaways from our discussions include:

  • Strategies for managing stress and burnout, including check-ins and respecting personal calendars.
  • The importance of proper onboarding for new team members with structured 30, 60, and 90-day milestones.
  • Actionable steps for aligning executive vision with operational realities, emphasizing written documentation and clear communication.
  • Agency spotlights on work by Ray Graham (empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through job placement and behavioral health services) and The Bridge (providing counseling, a 24/7 crisis line for youth, and mentoring).

This forum, in partnership with Good Works Results LLC, empowers community leaders with tools and a robust network to thrive, elevating professional development and collaborative problem-solving.
