There’s a saying that at some point, you just have to go all in. One year ago, I did just that and made small business ownership (Good Works Results LLC) my primary vocational focus. It has been a year of satisfying challenges and growth, and I wake up every day with gratitude to do this work!
I’ve learned so much along the way:
- The power of networking is undeniable. I’m grateful for business leads groups, insightful discovery calls, council from a coach and professional advisory board, and participation in mastermind groups.
- Finding your niche is crucial, even if it seems limiting. My niche is leaders in community businesses and organizations within a radius of my community.
- There are so many generous people willing to share their knowledge.
- Small business ownership is a family thing. I’m grateful for being able to include my wife, Amy, and our kids in this journey and have their unwavering support and motivation.
I’m driven by my mission to build leaders who know their value, strengthen their confidence, and make meaningful contributions to flourishing communities. This mission is guided by my core values: client-centered solutions achieved through active listening and co-creation, actively engaging my network to provide partners with the resources and support they need, and strengthening my community by connecting leaders across sectors to expand collaboration and innovation.
Thank you to everyone who has partnered with me on this journey!
