Management isolation, knowledge gaps, and stalled development hold back organizations from the confident and compassionate leaders they need. Advisory Forums are a proven capacity-building program that directly addresses these challenges by delivering a trusted peer network, facilitating shared learning, and enhancing professional skills.
What Do These Forums Look Like?
Advisory Forums provide a confidential ‘community of practice’ for cohorts of 8-12 partners from different organizations. These dynamic, in-person sessions prioritize shared learning and skill development. With a partner-driven agenda, each session is tailored to needs, featuring professional development topics, peer consultations for challenges, facilitated problem-solving, and actionable goal setting. A rotating hosting model ensures expanded network knowledge through immersive site visits, building a robust peer network.
What Partners Say
Advisory Forums deliver a clear impact. Participants build stronger, trusted peer networks. One partner shared, “I have made great connections… people who are now allies that I can reach out to.” Forums validate experiences, fostering honest conversations and growth: “I really enjoy the guided conversations on how my peers have been successful (and not!)” Partners enhance resources through shared tools and strategies, and critically, achieve goals. As one summarized, “Helping us establish goals, ideas, and methods to maintain balance in our work and personal life.”
Who Can Benefit Next?
Having launched five Nonprofit Leadership Advisory Forum cohorts and served over 40 participants across three networks, I’m ready to help more leaders. I partner with organizations and businesses dedicated to strengthening their teams and impact, especially those scaling operations, enhancing service reach, or navigating leadership skill building. Funding for this program can come in different forms, such as proposal making, capacity funding grants, or business investment. To explore the possibilities and move forward, the best way is through relationship introductions and discovery sessions.
Thank you for sharing this program with others and helping to cultivate confident and compassionate leadership!
